Not
every movie needs an actor who turns out to be the true hero winning everyone's
heart.Being a villain and a hero is a matter of choice by the director of the
movie. But what sets them apart from the rest is their acting and depth into
the character. Here are 10 such iconic villains in Bollywood who won our hearts
more than the protagonist himself.
This tim Shub's Top Ten bring Bollywood Villains Looked More Stylish Than Heroes. Let's see -
1.Rahul Mehra (Darr)
When the king of romance Badshah Khan broke all stereotypes and went on to portray the role of the evil Rahul Mehra not only did he manage to catch the attention of his viewers but also overshadowed the lead role played by the brawny Sunny Deol. Playing the role of a delusional psychopath surely wasn’t an easy task for the king of romance. Despite being wrong from all angles this stammering stalker managed to win our hearts with his unadulterated love for his classmate Simran played by Juhi Chawla. Can you really forget that iconic multi-color flannel shirt, black baggy jeans and white contrast belt with Swiss Alps in the background? Well, we sure cant!
2.Aamir khan (Samar/Sahir) -Dhoom 3
The
small fedora sported by Aamir Khan eluded much more charm than Abhishek and
Uday combined. You might prefer it to be the USP of Dhoom franchise but they
never fail to portray their anti-heroes in a much more charismatic manner than
its protagonists. Such was the case of the super cool Aamir who grabbed
eyeballs with his toned body, sexy tattoos and velvet Nehru jackets with a
waistcoat fit. And in case you are a biker dude then you surely must have gone
gaga over his elementary biking gear which became a craze among online
shoppers.
3.Priyanka chopra (Sonia Roy)-Aitraaz
How do you make yourself memorable in the presence of Kareena Kapoor and Akshay Kumar? You become fabulous! And so fabulous did Priyanka become that she is the one who owned the film. Before stunning the world with her Baywatch act this Desi girl outshined all while playing a sex deprived woman in this 2004 potboiler. Be it her business suits in pastel colors worn to perfection with pearl strings or the floral swimwear she brought elegance to it all. And how can we ever forget the Tala Tum song where the sexy babe rocked the dance floor in a midriff-baring black velvet gown with a Swarovski string jacket!
4.Priyanka chopra (Susanna) - 7 Khoon Maaf
Priyanka
chopra gets a second mention in our list for her portrayal of the
mentally-deranged and lovelorn Susanna which earned her cinematic accolade and
applause. Each of the seven stages of life that she goes through are amazing
and extremely fashionable. From being a bubbly wife of army personnel to a
rocker babe she nailed all of it beautifully. Be it the serene salwar suits she
wore or the golden shimmery saree Priyanka chopra looked brilliant in all.
5.Kajol (Isha) -Gupt
One female villain who won several accolades for her role. It was during the time when Kajol was at the peak of her career and when women would just want to do glamorous roles. She broke all stereotypes and played a negative character and oh-so-well. She made 'Gupt' what it is and gained all the popularity for the movie.
6.Sanjay Dutt (Kancha Cheena) - Agneepath
Sanjay Dutt as Kancha Cheena, an unscrupulous man, often mocked for his hairless appearance; he runs Mandwa as a concentration camp and exploits the villagers in order to deal in cheap cocaine. His villainous role and the no eyebrow look still runs a chill down my spine for his face would give you the feels which is every bit of what's called cringe-worthy.
7.Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Faisal Khan) -Gangs of Wasseypur
Announcing
his arrival into lead roles came Nawazuddin Siddiquie as Faisal Khan. Dark
complexion, malnourished frame and yet he came out holding those machine guns
and owned an unmissable aura around his character. Just watch out for that
brilliant climax when he doesn't just kill Tigmanshu Dhulia's character!
8.Amrish Puri (Mogambo) -Mr.India
Though Amrish Puri played each of his character in movies with perfection but this one's really special. "Mogambo Khush Huya" is one of the few dialogues that is still popular as it was when Mr.India released. Amrish Puri was undoubtedly the best choice to play the role of Mogambo, for a simple fact that the character had to be someone who just looks so evil that it's but natural. And who better than Amrish Puri with his unforgettable voice could fulfil this?
9.Saif Ali Khan (Langda Tyagi) -Omkara
Vishal Bharadwaj said when he began writing this, he wanted to write a character that would challenge Gabbar Singh's iconic status. And whom did he sign? Saif Ali Khan. The character being an adaptation of Iago from 'Othello' was based in the hinterlands of Uttar Pradesh and Saif did his part by giving an iconic performance that will be remembered for years to come.
10.Amjad Khan (Gabbar) -Sholay
I don't think I need to say anything more. That's his Magnum Opus. Performing alongside well-established actors like Sanjeev Kumar, Dharmendra was a difficult task, yet Amjad Khan played this role brilliantly. This is by far the best villain produced by Bollywood movies.
